Why does someone compliment you? They either want you to feel good or they want you to know they noticed something good.

I used to feel self-conscious and always down-played compliments. Not sure why, but I would focus on the areas where I fell short instead.

Sometime along my journey, I learned to take compliments more graciously. Now when someone compliments me, it makes me happy. I smile and genuinely thank them.
