I have a theory about why some people have chronically high stress and others do not. Your tolerance for stress equals the stress you are willing to accept.
A high tolerance for stress means you can feel a lot of stress and just carry on.
Counterintuitively, lower stress tolerance can be better. As stress builds up, you will make a change to relieve the stress.
If you feel chronically stressed, is your stress tolerance too high?
I wonder some times if I use meditation in this way … instead of looking at the cause of problems.
Leads me to being passive and then frustrated … I do enjoy meditation for other reasons too but I do wonder
If you find yourself getting so stressed that you need to meditate to feel better, meditate to reclaim your peace of mind. After you meditate, take some time to reflect on what you will do differently to deal with the cause.
