It’s funny how many of us get to the end of the week, excited by the approach of the weekend. If you work Monday through Friday, the weekend means freedom from the weekly grind.

Saturdays are the best. Sunday nights definitely have a different feel than the rest of the weekend. As the band Dear Leader says in Father Baker, “the weekends die on Sunday, leading to the weekly grind.”

It’s funny the way we do things, “grinding” 5 days a week so we can have a couple of days of freedom. Humans are strange animals.

Is our modern lifestyle worth it or should we live differently so we can have more freedom every day?
