Does anything affect how you get through life more than assumptions?

Assume the worst and you are pleasantly surprised when things turn out better than expected. On the other hand, you might avoid doing a lot of things in the first place. Why bother trying if you know it won’t work out?

Assume the best and you are disappointed when things don’t turn out so well. On the other hand, your optimistic expectations mean you might be willing to try anything. What’s stopping you when you know it’ll work out?

Are you an optimist, pessimist or somewhere in between?

      Good for you! I swing between optimist and cynic, depending on how things are going.
