An alien world

Sometimes you visit another country that is so different, you instantly know you’re in a completely different culture.

The taxi from the airport to our resort was an experience. In addition to your usual bumper to bumper traffic, there were swarms of mopeds weaving in and out of traffic. Driving here is not for the faint of heart.

When the sun came up this morning, the roosters were crowing, a pack of dogs was howling and birds (and lizards) were singing. Even coming from the mountains, it was quite a change.

Have you ever visited a place way outside your comfort zone?

PS – One of the expected challenges is internet speed. Although internet is readily available, the connection speed is a snail’s pace compared to home. I expect this will be my last blog post until I return.
