When I was in my 20s, I had a friend who did things that suggested that he believed the world revolved around him. Sometimes it caught up with him.
One time he parked in the spot reserved for wheelchair-accessible vehicles while we went into a store. When we came out, he was annoyed to see someone blocked him in. It quickly changed to embarrassment when he saw the van had a handicap plate. The driver of that van was thoughtful. They left just enough room for him to get out. Much better than having to wait and admit your bad behavior.
Another time we went to meet with someone at a school and there were no close parking spots available. He parked at the curb in front of the entrance. When we came out, there was a huge dent in the side of his car. Someone had backed out of a parking spot and probably didn’t expect a car to be there. (They didn’t leave their contact details.)
I’m not sure if it was Karma, but think about it this way: the more people that behave badly, the more likely you’ll run into one of them. How much better would the world be if we all behaved the way we’d like to see from other people?
Good idea to pass “the Golden Rule” around. 🌟
