The value of struggle

After a 19-year career in financial services, Jim left a leadership position to focus on health and fitness. His passion is empowering people to help resolve the pain, tension and insomnia that prevents them from living well.

There are times that I wish learning things were easier. A couple of my current hobbies require hours and hours of practice to make even slow progress.

I need to remind myself that most of the things that I’ve enjoyed over the years took dedication. Although some things are inherently fun, others are made fun though the skill demanded to do them well. Although practice can be a grind, achievement brings joy.

Which do you enjoy more, things that come easy or those at which you struggle before you succeed?

    On my own terms, I don’t mind a good struggle .
    I enjoy a good hard climb especially when there’s a beautiful view to look forward to at the top !
    Raking the yard and working up a sweat is fun, as long as I limit myself to a reasonable length of time . There is a limit to the amount of struggle I’m willing to take on.
