As a health coach, I help keep my clients accountable with the changes they are trying to make. One of the ways we do this is through a food diary. This can be done with pen & paper, on the computer or simply taking a photo of what they eat.
This simple tool has worked wonders for some of my clients. An interesting, and unexpected, side effect of my coaching work has been that I am often also taking photos of my own meals. I share them with my clients when they need ideas, provide examples when I am teaching classes or post recipes in our FB group at work.
As a result, I am more conscious of my own choices… I don’t eat perfectly (nor do I advocate my clients to do so), but in keeping my clients accountable, I often make healthier choices for myself, since I want to lead by example.
How do you hold yourself accountable when making changes?
This works the best. Honesty. Ok.
Great. I’ll start today 😬
Looks like no pancakes for me!
