Before writing my “How long is a piece of string?” blog post, I jokingly posed that question to Jim. Without batting an eye or missing a beat, he answered, very confidently… with a perfectly, unexpected answer… “As deep as a hole!?”

We both got a good laugh as we realized how well his imprecise answer matched my vague question.

One of the things I have always loved about Jim, from the very start, is his sense of humor. Sometimes dry, sometimes a bit sarcastic, sometimes punchy and silly…he has made me laugh and kept me on my toes since we met. Even after nearly 28 years, he can still surprise me and the unexpected laughter is often just what I need.

Who, or what, provides an element of surprise in your life?
