Choices we make and actions we take are votes for who we will become. One of the challenges is that it takes a while for the votes to be tallied. We can place votes for a long time and then wake up one day wondering where we went wrong. If we’re honest with ourselves, we should be able to see where we’re headed. Which of the following do you choose more often than not?

  • Eat a salad or eat a sandwich
  • Go for a walk or sit on the couch
  • Read a book or watch TV / scroll through social media
  • Connect with friends and family or watch the news
  • Have empathy or pass judgment
  • Have a difficult conversation or go along to get along
  • Be part of the solution or accept the problem

When you consider what you have been doing every day, who you do expect to become?
