Whether events are good or bad depends on your perspective. School closures are a bummer for a lot of people that are losing social connection, a safe space or their best opportunity to learn. For others, it might be relief from a terrible situation. What if you have inept teachers, the things you’re learning are a waste of time or going to school is a source of anxiety?

I remember some of my school years being awful. I didn’t fit in and was bullied at various times. If I had been told to stay home instead, I would have been excited. High school was my least favorite of all. I have heard people say they would love to go back to that time and I cannot imagine feeling that way.

When have you enjoyed a situation that others lamented?
