If you spend a lot of time alone, you might start behaving oddly without realizing it. Apparently I have taken to muttering to myself a lot and making a smacking noise before I speak.

I noticed the muttering when Trish kept asking me to repeat things she hadn’t heard. I was reacting to thoughts in my head and wasn’t consciously speaking out loud. After Trish pointed out the smacking noises, I noticed how often I was doing it. Then I realized it’s the noise I use to get Roli’s attention. Apparently I do this so much that it’s become a default behavior. 🤦🏻‍♂️

What habits do you have that become strange when you’re around other people?
