What the heck is movement therapy?

Written by Jim Chaput
After a 19-year career in financial services, Jim left a leadership position to focus on health and fitness. Jim is a Master Practitioner of Applied Movement Neurology and holds Certificates in Applied Functional Science and 3DMAPS from the Gray Institute. His passion is empowering people to help resolve the pain, tension and insomnia that prevents them from living well.
Being 1 of only 2 Certified Applied Movement Neurology (AMN) practitioners in the Northeast (the other is in Boston) has its upsides and downsides. On one hand, I am not competing with other practitioners to get clients. Amazing! Everyone looking for AMN sessions will come to me!…Wait a minute, is anyone looking for AMN sessions?

Oh right, that is the downside…not many people know what AMN is and the amazing results that are possible. A message after one session from one of my clients:

Well I can’t say thank you enough to you about helping me yesterday. Today was the first day since January 8, 2017 that I got out of bed put my feet on the floor and didn’t cry from pain in my feet.

Despite some incredible results, even some of my clients cannot remember the system I use. “I was telling my friend about it, what is it called again?”

Looking for ideas, I saw that one of the top practitioners in the UK called himself a movement therapist. I liked the sound of that – before I studied AMN, I had a movement coaching background (skiing, snowboarding and CrossFit) and I use my obsession with improving movement to help my AMN clients. Another big plus, movement therapy is a lot easier to remember.

Hence, SimplyBetter Movement Therapy was born.

If you live in the Ossipee Lakes Region, Mount Washington Valley or near Colebrook and you suffer from aches and pains or insomnia, maybe movement therapy is just what you need. Not sure? Message me for a free consultation.
