Sometimes we know what we need to do and accountability keeps us doing it. It may be enough to know someone else is paying attention.

A daily publishing deadline is what keeps me writing. I often consider moving to a different schedule to give myself a break. Then I remind myself of how much this project has improved my mental health and prompted me to do things I had put off for too long. Hearing from readers about what they’ve been inspired to do is also motivation to keep publishing every day.

The easiest topics on which to write are my own thoughts. The process clarifies my thinking and exposes holes in my understanding or inability to articulate ideas. Additionally, regular reflection shows me the good and bad in myself. Gaps in my knowledge, insufficient skill and awareness of my flaws all inspire me to improve. I hope you enjoy the journey as much as I do and find inspiration to take action that you might otherwise avoid.

Where does accountability keep you moving forward?

PS – If you need an accountability partner to help you take action, post to comments or send me a message.
