I was watching an interview with Tony Robbins and he said he always asks people how they would describe what they do, “Is it work, is it career or is it mission?”

It got me thinking about how people talk about how busy they are, wearing “being busy” like a badge of honor. I wonder whether these people feel busy despite doing really fulfilling work or because their work is not fulfilling. I expect it is the latter. The typical conversation with the insanely busy. How is your [insert dream] coming along?

“Oh my, I haven’t even had time to think about. Work has been so busy!”

How many of us spend so much time doing the things we “need” to do that we do not take the time to work on our mission? I imagine that someone who spends their time fulfilling their mission talks a bit differently. How is your [insert dream] coming along?

“I feel amazing, I helped so many people this week!”

When you spend your time fulfilling your mission, do you see yourself as busy?
