You might think that motivation is the key to success, but discipline is more likely to lead to long-term results. Most of us show up to work every day, not just the days we feel motivated. We know that meeting our commitment every day is required, even when motivation is low.

The biggest difference between an amateur and a professional? The amateur does the work when they feel motivated, the professional does the work every day.

This is one of the reasons I suggest that you do what is important to you every day. Instead of waiting for motivation, just get to work. The satisfaction of progress might build your motivation to keep going.

Are you allowing the ebb and flow of motivation to hold you back?
