Find the bright side

We successfully made it through our kitchen repair adventure. Replacing the old faucet went much better than I expected and had some unexpected benefits.

* The new faucet fits our sink better. The old one’s handle always banged against the back splash when you turned it to hot. The new one turns the other way so no more banging.
* The new spray nozzle is more focused. The old one sprayed too wide and splashed all over the place if the pressure was high.
* During the repair, we realized the hot water shut off wasn’t working. We replaced it with a modern one that works perfectly.

If I’d focused on how I could use it as an opportunity to make things better, maybe I could’ve avoided my frustration.

What do you do to find the bright side?

Reading a positive blog like this one helps! Looking beyond my troubles and taking a walk to observe Nature’s wonder helps, too. I am a Nature Nut.

Me too! A nice walk by the lake or in the forest is like meditation.
