I manage to do lot of different things every week. Several people have asked me how I do it. Spoiler alert – I don’t fit everything in every day, but I fit it in every week. How do I do so many different things?

Stack my tasks – I sometimes listen to podcasts or audiobooks while walking Roli, doing chores or exercising. I might get more out of it if I focused on one thing, but I am willing to compromise.

Accept small doses – 10 minutes of mobility, guitar or other skill practice is better than none. Small frequent doses are more effective than rare, large doses. If it’s important to you, aim to do it every day. If you missed today, do it tomorrow.

Plan ahead – I set a bedtime alarm to increase the chance I go to bed early enough that I can read for 10-15 minutes. If I want to get some study time in, I set my wakeup alarm early enough to squeeze in study time before I start working.

Choices – You can do all of your important things some of the time, some of your important things all of the time. You can’t do all of your important things all of time. The critical thing to remember – only you can choose how you spend your time.

How do you manage your important tasks and goals?
