The person who tries to make every attempt perfect doesn’t do much and may not get great results. Those who make lots of attempts continue to learn and are more likely to do great work and approach mastery.
If you are trying to improve a skill or develop your talents, practice frequently and learn from your misses. Even better, put some of your work out there for other people to see and get their feedback.
What skill or talent could you develop further by taking more shots?
PS – Be selective about the work you share. If you take 100 photos to get 10 great ones, share the 10. Most people don’t want to flip through your fail pile. If you write a bunch of drafts to get to something you love, share the final result. Wait until you become famous to share the failed attempts that got you there.
