If there’s still time, use it

Sometimes we resign ourselves to the fact that we didn’t get something done, even though there’s still time to do it. If we thought about it, we might instead take some action and move forward.

It was a rough weekend, getting work done that spilled over from the week. I was going through my personal habit list and put a “no” on Sunday next to my train or mobilize habit. Then I caught myself. It’s not even 9pm. Could I take 10 minutes to do some drills?

I did a 7-minute meditation (also on my list), then did a few mobility drills that work well for me. Even better, I listened to a short podcast while I did the mobility. Lesson learned – if it’s important, you can take 10 minutes for it even when you feel busy.

Are you missing opportunities by declaring failure too early?
