Want a way to learn about yourself? Use, “It takes one to know one” or “If you spot it, you got it” to give yourself feedback. We tend to notice things in others that we have in ourselves.

If someone annoys you, look to see how their behavior applies to you. Dealing with it in yourself will make you more effective and happier. Even if you do not change your behavior, you might have more empathy for others who share your plight.

For people you admire, look to see how you share their best traits. No doubt there is a hint of those in you as well. You probably beat yourself up enough, so give yourself some credit for the good in you.

What are your pet peeves and what do you value most in others?
