Keep going or change direction?

A couple of days ago, my friend Duncan asked me if I will publish my daily blog forever. I laughed and said, “I don’t know, forever is a long time.”

Sometimes, writing every day is difficult. When things get difficult, how do you know whether you should keep going or change direction? Which challenges are worth pushing through and which are dead ends?

Other than testing myself to see if I could muster the discipline to write every day, I had no real goals for this blog. After 150 posts, I have accomplished more than I expected. My relationships with Trish and Roli are better, I feel better about myself and I’ve had some impact on other people.

The unexpected benefits remind me that the process is often more important than the outcome. The things you do every day lead you to become the the person you are.

What do you need to do to become who you want to be?
