Live in the now

Back when you could do such things, I was out on a boat fishing with a bunch of guys. Two of them started talking about what could have been if they had gone into or stayed in the military. It was amusing, and maybe a little sad, to hear them espouse how amazing their lives would be now if they had made different decisions 20 years ago.

I like a good daydream and sometimes wonder where different choices might have taken me. For good or bad, you can never know whether a different path would have been better or worse. You can only control what you do in the present. Imagining a different history can be fun; dwelling in the past can prevent you from enjoying the present.

What do you do to live in the now?

    That is so funny!!
The Old wreck must have a few stories to tell.
As I get older, focusing on the present and future seems more important than the past. Time is flying! Even though my calendar is empty and I feel free, the day fills up and the next ones keep coming! Life is good!
    Your pictures are fabulous.

What a great way to get us to the site!
    Thanks.

      Thank you!

The truck must be older than most of us. If it could talk…

Admittedly, I tried to include my pictures in the emails and it has eluded me. Maybe it is better if it gets people to visit the site.
