One woman’s “mean”…

Trish and I have a decades long debate about whether my antics are mean or playful. Apparently it’s a matter of perspective. One woman’s mean is another man’s playful.

When I playfully share my cold hands or splash her with cold water at the lake, Trish will (half-seriously) accuse me of being mean. If she seeks revenge, it doesn’t work because I love cold hands and find cold water refreshing.

If you ask me, being playful or mean is a state of mind. If my intent is to be playful, how could it be mean?

When does your playfulness get you into trouble?

The learning curve of marriage balances playfulness with sensitivity & longing to make each other happy. For the sake of longevity, light tweaks happen as time goes on. 😄

Agree with you there. My playfulness is a lot more light-hearted than when I was younger. It’s better for both of us.
