Reward yourself

This weekend, I was reminded of an effective way to establish habits. Immediately after you do the behavior, give yourself a reward.

Although I am pretty good at building habits, I decided it’s a good time to reinforce a couple things at which I have been inconsistent. I rewarded myself after I meditated and then rewarded myself again after doing some movement and mobility.

What reward could you give yourself to firmly establish a desired behavior?

PS – Watch out for rewards after undesirable behaviors. Rewards are just as likely to entrench bad habits as good ones.
