It is easy to get discouraged when developing healthy eating habits. You decide to eat whole food at every meal. It’s all going well until you are running too late to make breakfast and decide to stop for a quick breakfast sandwich. Maybe not feeling so great afterwards, you tell yourself, “Well today is shot.”

Does it have to be? If you look back on a meal and realize it was a bad decision, remember the lesson, but let the negativity go. The most important meal of the day is your next one. Remember the foods that make you feel best and use that to make a better choice.

We get sicker or healthier one meal at a time. Which way are you heading at your next meal?

I flirt in and out with this one … taking time to prepare food hasn’t been a strong point but tend to eat reasonable well for my current belief system.
When I hit the “f-it” button is often with chocolate or cider … the chocolate goes on for a days to weeks and cider only ever in one night bursts and now very few and far between.

We all have our vices and perfection is for pro athletes, not us. Just keep the f-it to short spurts and you can still be fine. Even better, find what sets you off and deal with that.
