There’s an old saying that the squeaky wheel gets the grease.

Retail and hospitality businesses will sometimes give a little bit extra to cranky customers to leave them a good feeling. I sometimes think, “Am I getting penalized for being low maintenance?” This morning I realized that I am probably happier than the squeaky wheels for which nothing is ever quite good enough.

Would you rather be chronically cranky and get a little extra here and there or go through life happier, mostly accepting things as they come?
