The amazing lifestyle we have in the mountains comes with a price. Although each of the four seasons is of equal length, winter feels longer than the others. Cold weather and snow often come in mid-autumn, making it feel like winter. Early spring snow is also common extending that winter feel.

The snowy landscape is beautiful and the lack of biting insects is a big plus. Of course, Roli is a big fan of cold adventures and it’s a joy to see him romping in the snow. Nonetheless, I must admit that I long for spring sunshine and summer warmth.
